Waitlist privacy policy
This short policy covers the Monetessa waitlist only, while the app is being built. It will be replaced by a full privacy policy, reviewed by a lawyer, before the public beta. The Monetessa app itself isn’t available yet, so it holds no financial data of yours.
What we collect
- Your email address.
- Dates and times: when you joined and agreed to this policy, when we sent the confirmation email, when you confirmed it, and when you answered the optional questions.
- Your waitlist number, given when you confirm your email (the next number in line). It’s stamped on your founding coin. The coin’s share link and image contain only that number and a signature, nothing else about you.
- Optional answers, only if you give them after joining: which kinds of accounts you have, how you keep track of them today, what you’d want most from Monetessa, whether you’d pay about $79 a year for it, how you heard about us, and anything you write in the note box.
Please don’t put account numbers, passwords or other sensitive details in the note box. We automatically remove long runs of digits from it before saving.
That’s all. We don’t ask for your name, and this site never asks for bank, card or account details. It uses no analytics or advertising trackers and sets no cookies of its own.
Why we collect it
- To send you a link that confirms the address is yours (so nobody can sign you up without your say).
- To tell you about Monetessa: early access, beta invitations and occasional updates.
- To learn what people need, so we build the right things first. We read answers to decide what to build.
- To keep the waitlist free of bots and abuse.
- To give you a founding coin with your real place on the list, if you’d like to share it.
Where it’s kept and who helps us
- Supabase stores the waitlist in a database of its own, separate from anything the Monetessa app will use.
- Resend sends our emails.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that sign-ups come from people. To do that, Cloudflare processes technical details about your browser and connection.
- Vercel hosts this site and, like any web host, keeps standard request logs.
We use these services only for the purposes above. Your IP address is used briefly to limit repeated sign-ups and for the bot check. We don’t store it with your sign-up.
What we never do
We don’t sell or rent your email or answers, and we don’t share them with advertisers.
How long we keep it
Until you leave the waitlist or ask us to delete your details, or until the waitlist closes. If you don’t confirm your email, your sign-up is deleted after 30 days.
Leaving and deleting
- Every email we send has a Remove me and delete my details link. One click on the page it opens deletes your email, any answers and your waitlist number. (A coin link you shared still shows its number, since it holds nothing else.)
- Or write to privacy@monetessa.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it. We’ll reply within 30 days.
Children
The waitlist is for adults in the US. Please don’t join if you’re under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your details, we’ll email you first.
